# Header Builder

The header in WPNexa themes is fully customizable using Elementor within **Template Builder -> Header**. With a variety of pre-designed headers available, you can experiment freely to find the style that best aligns with your website’s aesthetic. Below, we’ve outlined the most commonly used settings to help you easily set up and personalize your header.

When you first install WPNexa, a default header is automatically imported for your convenience. You can choose to customize this default header to suit your needs, or easily create a new one from scratch to achieve your desired look and functionality.

### Create Header Layout

1. Navigate to **WPNexa Dashboard** -> **Template Builder**
2. Click **Add New Template** button on top
3. Select Template Type **Header**
4. Various other options can be found on that page, such as Header Background Color, Header Border, Header Shadow, Sticky Header, and Transparent Header. You can select and adjust these options according to your needs.
5. Click on **Save and Edit with Elementor**
6. Now you can create a custom header based on your needs or import a ready-to-use design. Simply go to **WPNexa N logo** -> **Header** -> **Insert** and select the header you wish to import.

### Set Default Header

If you have multiple headers in the Template Builder and want to set one as the default to display on every page, go to **Theme Options** -> **Header** -> **Select Default Header** to make your selection.

### Overwrite Header Layout on Pages

To use a custom header on any page, simply select a header template through the Page Options at the bottom of your page editor. Go to **Edit Page** -> **WPNexa Page Options** -> **Header**, enable the header options, and choose your custom template from the Header Template dropdown. You can also adjust other settings, such as Header Background, Header Shadow, Transparent Header, Sticky Header, and more.

*Notice**:** In page options, the options are "empty" or default to "inherit", which will receive the default configuration in Theme options. The options in Page Options apply only to the page you configure.*
